Update

Dear family and friends We had a fair weekend. He was very weak on Sat but didn't have much pain. He was less weak on Sunday but had more pain. Go figure. He was very weak yesterday in the morning but felt much better a little later. We pray daily that he can get his work done and feel well enough to do it. Yesterday in the afternoon he felt pretty good and got most of his soil samples done. He was headed home about 6:00 pm and hadn't had much pain all afternoon and about a mile from home started hurting. It was bad enough that he had to take some hydrocodone. All of us have so many blessings that we don't even recognize. Sometimes the spirit will tell us, if we will listen, that it is a special blessing. We are thankful for all of them, the large and the small. He called the Huntsman to talk to the nutritionist about feeling weak and they are amazing. They called right back and then call the hospital here to get the information on his blood work. His protein is a little low as well as his potassium. Neither are dangerously low but it may make him feel week so the nutritionist told him what to eat and to drink an ensure daily and a protein drink daily. It is so nice to get information. They just don't do that here.

Chuck's hands are starting to heal and his bladder is getting better too. I hope he will continue to heal from the radiation and chemo for the next couple of weeks before we start on the next phase. Karalynn is coming tomorrow for a couple of days and we are looking forward to that. We haven't been able to kiss that baby for 6 weeks now.

I will continue to keep you informed. Love, Jolene
