Dear family and friends: Well, we thought we would have a good weekend but, (literally-butt) it did not happen. As we walk the bowel minefield we seem to fall off one side or the other. He has decided the ileostomy will be a relief after trying to figure out what works. He's not sure he ever wants to be hooked back up. He was pretty miserable on Saturday but felt a little better on Sunday. He always just feels weak and sick and shaky. We did go to Sacrament Meeting, for him, the first time in a while. He has a hard time sitting for very long. So, we sat in the back and I think everyone thought he was the greeter. Then he stood at the door for the sacrament (we don't have enough Aaronic priesthood holders). Then he sat down for the whole rest of the meeting and did great. It was nice to have things feel normal for an hour. I know it was a blessing because he just can't sit that long even when the seats are soft and comfortable. He is having more discomfort from the radiation. He is starting to get burns. We creamed him up pretty good over the weekend and it felt pretty good this morning. Just in time to start again. We have decided that he probably is not going to have a good weekend ever because he feels better on Monday and Tuesday. I guess that is fine because he feels better when he is at work. I can baby him on the weekends.
We are having more issues with this hospital. He is going to be out of some of his chemo pills tomorrow. When he got the pills they told him they would have more here in plenty of time. He went into the MSTI to see if they were in yet and they didn't know they needed to order them again yet. So they ordered them and they were supposed to be here today. He went in to get them and they still weren't in. They are supposed to be here tomorrow. It seems like there is always something with them.
We went through the bills on Saturday. Oh Boy!! He is getting expensive. We are certainly blessed to have good insurance. If not, children, there would be no inheritance. May not be anyway. Okay, don't count on it.
We appreciate all of you and can feel your prayers daily. We love you. Mom, Jolene
