Update

Dear family and friends: Quick update. He survived his first week. He was feeling pretty poor on Friday and we thought since he was off the chemo and radiation for the weekend that he would feel better. Not so. He feels pretty good today. He said he just shuddered when he had to take the pills this morning. It is awful to know that you are poisoning yourself when you take pills. He also is taking pills for the nausea and I am sure that makes him more tired. He was told to take this one nausea medication every 12 hours starting on Sat. They only gave him 10 pills total so he asked the nurse at the hospital this morning if he was supposed to keep taking them today or stop and she said take them only if he feels nauseated. The Pharmacist said to take them regularly so he wouldn't get nauseated. No one here seems to ever agree on anything. It is kind of scary. Chuck was feeling better yesterday afternoon and called to harass his sister and a few friends. Some of you wisely did not answer. He is still in good spirits. He is eating more often and not nearly as much and is still losing weight. It is slow now so I don't think it will hurt him at all. The less he weighs the easier the surgery will be. I will continue to keep you informed. We love you all and appreciate your love and prayers. Love, Jolene

Ah Jolene~~~Interesting choice of words "he survived his first week" made me giggle in a morbid way =0)

Sorry for your struggles. We'll keep praying for you!
