Dear Family and Friends: We went to Boise for the weekend to pick up an adjustable bed and to visit Karalynn Nick & baby. It was a really good weekend. Benjamin thinks grandpa is kind of big and noisy and a little scary. We sure love those grandbabies. I feel like I need to treasure every day that Chuck feels good. He said he feels like he is about back to what he was before the biopsy. He went to work for a while this morning and is going to go to the hospital to "camp out" he said until he can get an answer on when he will start his chemo and radiation. We are trying to not spend too much energy being frustrated that if we had started when it was planned we would be 4 weeks into the 5 1/2 weeks of chemo and radiation and ready soon for the 4 weeks of recuperation before surgery. We may have to wait until they get in more of the oral chemo. This drug is called Xeloda and saves a lot of time taking in orally rather than by IV but is much more expensive ($5000.00) a month. Very often the insurance won't pay for it so they pre-approve it. They did this a few weeks ago when we were going to start before. We both have insurance on Chuck and so he 2 prescription programs. There is a social worker that works at the cancer center here (in Jennifer's ward) that was working on getting it pre-approved. He submitted to both insu programs and they both said they were primary. He said he had never had insu company fight over who was primary and then one company approved it for $20.00 a month and the other for $45.00 a month. He was amazed because he has seen some come in at $100.00 a month but never anything lower. Just another blessing. We really do know and feel the fasting and prayers of all of you and the Lord has blessed us in so many ways. Please continue in our behalf. We love you all. Love, Jolene
