Update

Dear Friends and Family, I think we are on the mend. Finally! Just in time to start chemo. He still hurts quite a bit when he rides in his pickup which is what he does a lot for work. He was still not too well on Monday and was supposed to have a blood test on Tues when we went to the oncologist in Twin and he called to see what time his appointment was and they had not scheduled it because she was going to be gone and had not called to let us know??? Anyway, we decided to go to Burley for the blood test and then if he still needed blood again we could get it done sooner. When we were there on Friday Glen was pretty sure he would need another 2 units to get him above 30. He was 26 on Tues and probably lower on Friday when we were there. 41 and higher is normal and they won't do transfusions if you are below 30. Glen thought it might bring him up to 28. When he was tested it was 36:):). Glen said he had good bone marrow. I was glad to hear that. He is feeling much less weak now and the pain is better but it will take a while for him to recuperate. He did work yesterday but he was really hurting last night from riding so much. He also has tolerated these high powered shots well. No diarrhea (which can be a real problem with an ileostomy)and kidneys doing well. I know it is answers to prayers. We are very thankful for all of them and for your love and concern. We heard from Huntsman and they have the plan ready and have sent it to the oncologist here. He has his appointment with her on Monday so I am guessing he will probably start on Tues if she thinks he is well enough. We still have shots until Friday.
