Update

Dear friends and family, Here we go again. He was not feeling too well on Saturday morning but not too bad either. We had hoped to go to Karalynn's for the long weekend. By noon he was in a lot of pain and his left cheek (rear end, I was talking to a nurse and she was wondering why his face was inflamed):) was very red and swollen. I called our Dr (Glen) and he said it sounded like another abscess. This while he is taking the high powered antibiotic. We kept heat on it and went to see him. He gave him some antibiotic shots and it needed to come to a head so we went back on Sunday and he lanced it and it was full of infection (from Karalynn: Mom said it was a couple inches deep. Sick). Glen did a culture. Is a different bacteria than the antibiotic he was taking would work on. We have been back every day to get shots and have the wound repacked. Thank heaven Glen was on call and answered his cell phone. He would have been in horrible pain if we had to wait or if we went to the emergency room. We are still going to Burley for the shots and packing and saw our oncologist yesterday. Nothing new with her except she was glad Glen had taken care of the abscess. He is still running fevers all the time. I just don't know what to think. It was 9 weeks yesterday since his surgery and he is still miserable. We still have the appointment with the surgeon on Friday and a CT of the liver and abdomen on Thurs evening. I will keep you informed. We thank our Father for your love and concern daily. Keep the prayers coming. Love, Jolene
