Dear friends and family, We have returned. We made it to SLC and he had his CT on Thurs evening and we had an appointment with the surgeon on Fri Morn. She told us that the two spots of "activity" are still there and she is very concerned about them. She said the abscess by the colon is looking good and is much smaller and she does not see it as being a problem for the future. She has other patients with this same thing and they do fine. She basically released him from her care I believe and is presenting him before the tumor board on Tues when his oncologist at Huntsman will be there. He was so sick and weak while we were there he could hardly walk. We went back to Burley for Glen to give him more shots and to repack the abscess. It is healing nicely. Glen could not believe they did not address his anemia and sent him to the hospital to get 2 units of blood. He felt a little better on Friday night and also on Sat morning but then again felt very weak. He does look much better but Glen also said he would probably need a couple of more units to get near normal. He had about half his usual amount of blood. I am so thankful he is pushing to get him better. He at least knows him well enough to know how he is normally and that he will push himself if he can possibly do it. He slept all afternoon yesterday and all night and was more wakeful this morning but is sleeping again this afternoon. The good news is his pain is much better. It is still there but he has not taken his oxycontin or oxycodone last night or today at all. He has not been doing much else except sleep but before it just didn't matter, he needed it anyway so I think the shots are really working. He has an appointment with the oncologist here on Tuesday so he will have another blood draw and we will know where he is on the blood. He has been pretty discouraged, but it is hard to stay positive when it just hurts all the time. We have received cards and letters and care packages and he has appreciated them all. It really has lifted his spirits. We are aware of the love and concern of so many. We thank our Father daily for you. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We love you all. Jolene
