It was such a beautiful day on Sunday, so Nick and I went for a walk in the park. We were trying to find a place to take our engagement pictures, and found this one park that we thought would be perfect - Katherine Albertson Park. We were walking around, enjoying the scenery - trees, flowers, and of course, geese. There are a ton of geese in Boise.
Well everything was going along just fine, until Nick decided he needed to talk to the geese. So he starts "honking" at them - really loud. Turns out the geese only like to talk to other geese, and they hiss at you when you try to talk to them. Of course there were tons of people at the park and they were all staring. Wouldn't it be wonderful if that was the worst thing that could happen? But of course it wasn't.
There was a gaggle (is that right? I'm not up on the goose lingo) of baby goslings (look at me go!) running around. They were so cute and fuzzy. But we can't just watch them - my honey has to pet them. Picture this: I'm standing back, trying to get Nick to leave them alone, he's chasing after one of the babies, and the mama goose is chasing him. And of course we have an audience.
Then he tried to act all hurt and upset that the mom tried to attack him! Go figure. After that happened, I decided the park is off limits for pictures, and that we were going to go somewhere inside a building with no animals. He promised he would leave all animals alone when we take pictures. So, if you get an announcement with an inside picture, you'll know that he just couldn't behave!
